Carine Lecoq

Graduated in English and German, Carine Lecoq started her professional experience as a teacher in several secondary schools.

After few years, she decided to use her knowledge of languages in an international and non-for-profit environment. She entered a non-governmental association active in the lobbying for the rights of disabled people towards the European institutions and in the organisation of courses and conferences specifically designed for people with a disability at European level. As Communication Officer, her responsibilities included the information to the membership, the facilitation of exchanges between national disability organizations, the writing of the organisation’s quarterly magazine and the representation of the organisation at meetings and conferences.

In 2000, she joined ECCO-the European CanCer Organisation as Societies Co-ordinator. In 2006, she starting working for ESSO part-time, while keeping a number of responsibilities within ECCO. Carine is in charge of the daily management of the society.
