Affiliated Societies  - General information

The European Society of Surgical Oncology has always made as a priority the relationships with national surgical oncology societies in Europe.

At present, about 10 national societies are affiliated to ESSO and the interest is increasing, not only in Europe but in other parts of the world.

The challenge is that surgical oncology is not recognized as a specialty in every country and therefore surgical oncology societies do not exist everywhere.

ESSO is however keen to welcome dedicated surgical oncology branches of medical or surgical associations where no surgical oncology society exists.
