Tatjana Romanyk (NL), PharmD, MBA

Tatjana started her career in pharmaceutical industry where she worked in different roles for approx 14 years. She has been responsible for clinical research, regulatory affairs and served as business unit director within oncology for a large international pharmaceutical company. Additionally she had several international strategic marketing roles, again with focus on oncology. As associate director oncology Europe she was responsible for the strategic marketing of the entire oncology portfolio in Eastern and Western Europe.

Beginning 2004 she established TRM-Oncology, a specialized agency providing strategic oncology communication services in oncology, haematology and supportive care to a variety of (inter)national clients.

She was appointed Executive Director of ESSO in April 2009. While pursuing her activities at TRM-Oncology along with her new responsibilities of ESSO Executive Director, she assists the society in achieving its strategic objectives, i.e. positioning ESSO as the representative of all oncology surgeons, increasing the membership, enhancing communication and sponsorship opportunities, addressing young cancer surgeons expectations.
