Lynda Wyld


altShe trained as a surgeon in Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds and Manchester in the UK and spent a period of time in full time research at the University of Sheffield where she studied for her PhD. She currently works as a Senior Lecturer in Surgical Oncology at the University of Sheffield in the UK following appointment in 2002. Her main areas of clinical interest are breast cancer, breast reconstruction and sarcomas. She is the clinical lead for the North Trent Regional Sarcoma Unit. Her main research interests are primary hormonal therapy for elderly women with breast cancer, breast screening in the elderly and stress response pathways in cancer.

Lynda Wyld was invited to join the Education and Training Committee of ESSO in 2007.
