13th ECCO-AACR-EORT-ESMO WORKSHOP on Methods in Clinical Cancer Research, 18-24 June 2011, Flims, Switzerland
|
Aimed at European junior clinical oncologists in any clinical research area to learn the essentials of clinical trial design, this one-week intensive workshop is supported by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) with five fellowships to young surgical oncologists. Applicants are expected to submit a proposal for a clinical trial which, if successful, they bring to the Workshop for development from the concept stage to a full protocol during the five days of the meeting. The faculty work as hard as the students revising and re-reading draft protocols throughout the week. The aim is that, upon his/her return home, the applicant actually submits the protocol to the involved ethics board and performs the designed study. Participation is per competitive application. Application closes on 14th February. Click here for information about the programme, the eligible criteria and the application procedure. Read about the experience of last year surgical fellows…
