Aim of the course
This 2-day hands-on cadaveric course is designed to cover the most recent advances in thyroid cancer therapy including methods of detection, treatment and research. Upon completion of the activity, learners should be able to discuss the latest thyroid cancer topics and describe how these advances can be applied to their practice. The meeting is an ideal opportunity for local and national experts to understand current national guidelines on thyroid cancer and update their knowledge about its investigation and treatment.
The program will consist of two parts. The first day participants and speakers will discuss the treatment options for Differentiated and Medullary Thyroid Cancer. The second day will be a hands-on cadaveric workshop that will cover the commonly used surgical techniques to deal with lateral neck dissection. A case-based discussion session will complete the program.
