Aim of the webinar
The discussion during this webinar will focus on the importance of malnutrition screening in surgical oncology to identify patients at risk of malnutrition for prompt treatment and/or careful follow up.
The analysis of an international survey will show what are the main criticalities concerning this issue.
Nowadays, strong evidence is proving that postoperative complications and long term oncological outcomes can be negatively affected by malnutrition/undernutrition: the importance of integrating a screening procedure in the multidisciplinary board will be discussed.
