ESSO/ESTRO Webinar: Radiation therapy in retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcoma: what has changed after STRASS results

Dr. Sylvie Bonvalot (Institut Curie, Paris) and Dr. Rick Haas (Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Nederland Kanker Institut, Amsterdam) will present the ESSO/ESTRO webinar on Friday, 17th January at 17:00 (Central European time)
 
This webinar aims to:
  • Briefly report results from the randomized trial STRASS that investigated preoperative radiation therapy in retroperitoneal sarcoma (RPS)
  • Describe outcomes in term of feasibility and morbidity of preoperative radiation therapy in RPS in modern era and within STRASS trial
  • Present RPS case patients for interactive discussion about decision making and planning for radiation and/or surgery

By the end of the webinar participants will apprehend the newest data available on preoperative strategy for RPS; they will be able to critically discuss indication for radiation therapy in RPS in the light of first available prospective randomized data.

Ideal participants are Surgical Oncologists with interest in RPS, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists treating sarcoma patients, Members of Transatlantic Australasian Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group, Fellows of European School of Soft Tissue Sarcoma Surgery (ESSTSS), Young Surgeons/Trainees interested in soft tissue sarcoma.
 
Participation to the webinar is free and is on a first come first served basis.
