EYSAC Research Academy Webinar Series - Focus on Clinical Research Methodology

This series of webinars is the first part of an Online Educational Programme developed by the EYSAC (ESSO Young Surgeons Alumni Club) Research Academy.
The programme focuses on the scientific needs and career development of young surgical oncologist and academic surgeons. It aims at inspiring and empowering young surgeons to be fully engaged in collaborative cancer research.
The programme is composed of three independent educational activities. Participants can attend the whole or just part of the programme.
- 6th September 2021, 6pm CET: "Legends in Surgery", where Professor Bill Heald (Champalimaud Foundation, Lisbon, PT) will talk about his career achievements and the challenges he had to deal with. An interactive discussion session with participants will follow his intervention. Participation in this webinar is free to all. Please click here to register.
- 4th, 11th and 18th October 2021, 6pm CET: a 3-part webinar series on "Clinical Research Methodology" which aim is to provide an overview on the different trial modalities, defining endpoints, considerations for sample size calculations and trial design. Registration fee to attend the full series is 60€ for ESSO members and 75€ for non-members. Please register through the "Register" buttom at the bottom of this page.
- 1st November 2021, 6pm CET: "Innovations in Surgery" by Dr. Debby Keller (California University, Davis, US). Participation in this webinar is free to all. The zoom link will be available very soon.
