The ESSO Education and Training Committee is eager to offer the largest possible access to its educational programmes and activities. Participation in live events is not always possible for all our members; the ETC has therefore decided to create an online learning resource designed for all oncology surgeons and other cancer specialists
In 2015 ESSO started to offer as part of is education programme Meet the Expert Webinars, we are proud to make the recorded versions available to our members.
Further webinars will be planned, please watch out for them either on the home page, courses and masterclasses section or in an eblast!
Chairs of ESSO courses can now use 3D films of the procedures on Incision Academy, to prepare their courses, enhance their content and guarantee a more effective learning. Both attendees and speakers have free access to Incision Academy and to its 3D films of the procedures before, during and after the course. Accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Incision Academy is the leading online surgical skills sharing platform that facilitates the sharing of surgical skills and knowledge. The procedures on Incision Academy include learning objectives, 2D/3D films, relevant anatomy lessons step-by-step guides incorporating tips and hazards, and a test for self-evaluation.
In this time of crisis Incision wants to contribute by giving free access to its e-learning academy with more than 400 surgical courses for the OR team, covering the full training curriculum of residents, scrub nurses and interns. Topics include surgical procedures, anatomy, OR equipment and skills.
On the Academy there is also a special program ‘Medical Skill Refreshment Course’ which can be used to quickly refresh knowledge about medical skills online, for those who are being asked to assist on the ward and in the IC unit.
