Education & Communication Coordinator
Adriana Pereira joined ESSO in March 2020.
As Education and Communication Coordinator, she is responsible for the day-to-day support of website and social media content as well as assisting in the coordination of courses and other educational activities.
Adriana has a masters’ degree in Public Health and a bachelor’s in development studies, both from Lund University Sweden. Before joining ESSO, she worked as Membership and Governance Assistant for the European Patients’ Forum and as Coordinator of European Youth Network for Sexual and Reproductive Rights. She is a current Board Member of the European Consortium Emergency Contraception advocating for youth perspective. In 2017, Adriana was a Junior Consultant for the WHO Regional Office for Europe where she worked on social determinants of health, particularly the linkages between gender and health outcomes.
As a Portuguese citizen and having lived in more than 6 European countries, Adriana brings a wide array of public health experiences and a strong background in administration, membership organisations and advocacy for better public health policies.
