ESSO participates in The Brazilian Surgical Oncology Congress 30/10/2017
Every two years, ESSO’s Brazilian Affliated Society, SBCO, organizes the Brazilian Congress of Oncologic Surgery. This year’s theme celebrated The Oncology Surgeon as the gateway of Modern Oncology - Tradition, Expertise and Innovation in the Care of Cancer Patients!
More than two thousand specialists gathered to discuss different aspects of Surgical Oncology, including its integration with other multimodal therapies, more complex surgical procedures such as cytoreductive surgery and intraperitoneal chemotherapy, isolated limb perfusion, multivisceral resections, minimally invasive surgery, as well as advances in the treatment of breast, gynecological, of soft tissues and melanoma, among others.
Dr. Kovacs and Prof. Audisio presented a range of topics, further strengthening our partnership, including an ESSO/SBCO Breast Oncoplastic Surgery Course.
In an unprecedented step to unify the Brazilian Oncology movement, the XIII Brazilian Congress of Oncologic Surgery and the Brazilian Congresses of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy took place simultaneously to cumulate in the Brazilian Oncology Week, drawing approximately six thousand participants.
