French Society of Surgical Oncology SFCO

Background

The French Society of Surgical Oncology was recreated in 2007 to represent French oncological surgery. It acts as the representative body representative of the public authorities and in particular of the High Authority in Health of all French surgeons who practice oncological surgery. It is a founding member of the National Cancer Council alongside 11 other French companies or unions. SFCO is the scientific and professional exchange community that surgeons needed in France to develop their specific know-how in this field regardless of organ specialty.

SFCO is the scientific and professional exchange community that surgeons needed in France to develop their specific know-how in this field regardless of organ specialty. Building on this founding success, SFCO must now set up a new operating structure to make our projects a reality. Its initially limited office in the launch phase is now expanded to 5 members, each of them seeing a specific mission as coordination of the pedagogical action (Michel Rivoire), the development of the website (Frédéric Marchal, Jean-Marc Classe), the development of international relations (Christophe Pomel) or the research activity (Marc Pocard) ). An opening on the general hospital centers is engaged (Jean-Marc Tortuyaux, CHG of Toul) and the office would like to welcome an active representative of the liberal sector (Krishna B Clough, Paris).
