Webinar on Head and Neck Sarcoma Management
Aim of the webinar
Head and neck sarcomas are clinical entities that are less rare than one might think and are frequently treated by head and neck surgeons.
There are no specific histological features in the anatomical area, but the distribution of histological lesions may differ from what is usually observed. Management, which is very often surgical, requires a thorough understanding of resection principles in a relatively small area and the principles of reconstruction necessary after the excision procedure.
To this end, a good prior understanding of the extent of the disease is essential for planning the procedure.
In this webinar, after a comprehensive introduction to the organization of care and the nature of head and neck sarcomas, we will present the imaging assessment, the principles of resection, and current reconstruction techniques following the removal of this type of tumor, depending on its nature.
