Aim of the course

  • Identify common patterns in cancer progression and patterns of recognition, providing surgical residents and consultants with tools for early diagnosis and tailored treatment planning
  • Explore the importance of cancer prevention and screening, with a specific focus on the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, and grasp the significance of early detection in improving patient outcomes
  • Discuss the integration of various treatment modalities, such as systemic chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, and local ablation techniques, within a multimodal approach to managing cancer
