Aim of the webinar
This webinar will focus on an in-depth discussion of the modern multimodality management of intrahepatic and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. We will use representative cases to foster a multidisciplinary tumour board discussion that will include surgeons and medical oncologists from Europe and North America.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should gain strategies to:
- Discuss decision making regarding the management of multifocal, unilobar intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma
- Discuss the nuances of surgical resection vs transplantation for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma in the setting of cirrhosis
- Discuss the appropriateness of neoadjuvant therapy for locally advanced extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma
- Discuss the approach to extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma with positive proximal and/or distal margins
