We are very happy to learn that the ESSO Lifetime Achievement Award just arrived in the hands of Prof. Angelita Habr-Gama in São Paulo, Brazil, who unfortunately couldn’t attend ESSO 44 in person.
She received it with great appreciation and expressed that it represents one of the most significant recognitions of her professional career.
The award was conferred to Prof. Habr-Gamathis this year for her pioneering work in the treatment of low rectal cancer and lifelong contribution to surgical oncology.
